摘要:The main purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse the linguistic behavior in delayed acquisition by four children, aged from 4:1 to 7:4, replacing intervocalic /l/ and /R/ by [j], in order to explain the path they take to realize intervocalic /l/ and /R/. The most common strategies in producing intervocalic /l/ and /R/ by these children to reach the adult model have been observed and, out of this, a hypothesis about the taken path has been proposed: first they don’t realize intervocalic /l/ and /R/; second, they change intervocalic /l/ and /R/ by [j]; third, they realize intervocalic /l/; fourth, they replace /R/ by [l]; finally, they realize intervocalic /R/. The analysis of the results confirmed that children follow this path but not in a systematic way, because the substitution stage of [l] by /R/ is optional.
