摘要：The fifth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF) was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between 22 and 26 March 2010. To mark the occasion I asked a number of colleagues who attended the meeting to provide short notes on their experience of this event. This is a departure from the usual style of conference reports relying on single observations. I hope that these short notes drawing on different personal experiences and professional viewpoints will provide a more accurate and nuanced view of the Rio WUF and similar future events for advancing the debate on just and sustainable urban development.
