摘要：The objective of this study was to mapthe carrying out of hacking marathons inBrazil, and the challenges they pose tothe field of health. The expectation is thatthe description and presentation of themethodological aspects of the mappedevents, along with information drawn fromthe literature, may help in the disseminationof the methodology and its applicationto the health sector. The mapping wasexploratory and descriptive and was carriedout through an internet search, usingGoogle and the Virtual Health Library (BVS)database, covering the period between2000 and 2016. The researchers identified16 hackathons, all of which occurred after2012, and which presented challenges andsolutions to health. The results point to thepotential of this methodology as a meansof promoting creativity and innovation,based on collaborative work by teamsof professionals from different areas foridentifying timely solutions to the healthfield.
