摘要：O artigo apresenta alguns resultados de pesquisa realizada sobre se e comoo tema Estado e Educação foi abordado na produção acadêmica brasileira,no período compreendido entre 1971 a 2000. Foram pesquisados cincoAnais de Associações Nacionais de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa e quinzeperiódicos, das áreas de Educação, Economia, Administração, História,e Ciências Sociais. Buscou-se compreender as perspectivas das áreas,considerando-se o contexto histórico das décadas em que os trabalhos foramproduzidos, e evidenciando seus nexos, contribuições e limitações. Nesteartigo, é abordada a caracterização do Estado brasileiro, pelos autores dostrabalhos investigados, em especial quanto a três referências principais,que aparecem ao longo de todo o período: Estado capitalista/reprodutor daordem social; Estado autoritário/centralizador; e Estado ineficiente/omisso,buscando-se compreendê-las em relação ao contexto histórico.
其他摘要：This article presents the results of the research about how the State andEducation topic were dealt with in the Brazilian academic productionbetween 1971 and 2000. We have researched five Proceedings of Post-Graduation and National Research Associations and fifteen journals in the areas of Economy, Administration, History, Social Sciences andEducation, focusing on four titles in each one of them, in considering thetotal production of the period. We tried to understand the perspectivesof the areas. We have considered the historical context of the decadesin which those works were produced, highlighting their contributionsand limitations. In this article, we approach the characterization of theBrazilian State by the authors of researched works, especially concerningthe three main references that appear throughout the period: the capitalistState/ producer of social order; the authoritarian State/centralizer; and theinefficient State / the absent state. We seek to understand them in theirhistorical context.
