摘要：The present article has the purpose of presenting the care/caring of human life as a study object and nursing practice. The analysis of the concept is carried out under Maturana’s auto-poetic perspective. The caring has had a great influence on epistemology, education and nursing research, in order to optimize the work with new ways of doing, changing the structured methods of teaching to another’s creative and liberators, balancing the qualitative and quantitative knowledge construction. Just in this projection the nursing will achieve the correlation with the 21º century’s challenges.
