标题:AS PRÁTICAS DE EDUCAÇÃO EM FAMÍLIAS DE CRIANÇAS COM PARALISIA CEREBRAL DIPLÉGICA ESPÁSTICA E COM DESENVOLVIMENTO TÍPICO PERTENCENTES A CAMADAS POPULARES DA CIDADE DE SALVADOR – A PERSPECTIVA DO PAI
摘要:The paternity is today a subject that defies the understanding of many researchers. Currently it has a notion, shared by existing studious that the parents play multidimensional and complex roles, with direct and indirect influence in the infantile development and in the familiar life. It is still recognized that the social construction of paternity varies according the time and the cultural context. Also the ideals of paternity can be very changeable from one society or sub-group to another one. The present work aims to describe how the parents of low-income population of Salvador city - Brazil, understands its role in the family, its relation with care and the education of the child (with and without physical deficiency) and its reactions toward the deficiency. Ten families participated of this work: 5 of children with Cerebral Paralysis (PC), without evident mental retardation, aging between 2 and 7 years, being patients of rehabilitation institution of Salvador- Brazil, and 5 of children with typical development (TD). Parents and mothers had answered structuralized interviews, recorded and qualitatively analyzed. The parents tell its participation in the cares and education of the child, but they still conceive as its main function to sustain the family. They value the affectivity, but they emphasize in its system of education the authority and requirement, specially among children with TD. The obedience was the main attribute to consider “ideal” child. The parents disclose efforts of personal experiences in the process to educate children and search to adjust it to the current socio-cultural demands.
