摘要:The citizenship has been developed in the daily life through the dynamics of social relations 1. Its concept as right to have rights, has given many interpretations where one can verify that the citizenship would be composed by social and political rights 2. This is an exploratory and descriptive research that aimed to identify how children and adolescents perceive the importance of the citizenship exercise in the family and community. The sample was composed with 93 children and adolescents that studies at public and private schools of Londrina city-Brazil. For the data collection we use the cards game developed by Dr. Stefanelli containing phrases related to the subject. Through this study we could perceive that the family and the school participation in the children formation is important therefore pupils, participants of the research, had demonstrated concern and interest in the subject discussing the lack of habitation, security, drugs, violence, competition, inequity and disrespect. We conclude that they are conscious of citizen’s rights and duties.
