摘要：This is a theoretical essay about the family and the mental illness.We do believe that it is through knowledge and discussion that the professionals could reflect about ways of engaging the family in the treatment of the mentally ill as well as to help them minimize the difficulties in their daily family life. The authors mentioned in this paper emphasize the importance of the professional support and his/her attendance to the family as well as the importance of perceiving them as the main allies to reinsert the mentally handicapped into the community.
