摘要：Our objective went know the family concept for children of 09 to 12 years of different social classes of the city of Curitiba. It is an exploratory-descriptive quantitative study. The data were contained in categories that emerged of the answers obtained by means of questionnaire. The most important categories were union and affectivity . The children aimed the nuclear family and enlarged, considering that both constitute the composition that forms a pleasant atmosphere, where she finds affection, union, harmony, help, care and dedication. To be a healthy family this should offer health, feeding and education.With this that we built the family concept as being part of a process of construction of the life projects, of the values and childrens faiths, it inserted in a social-economic-cultural context. The result, seemingly demonstrates an idealistic vision of the children that participated in the study, that speaks in favor of more researches the respect, using other methods, looking for its complementarity.
