摘要：As a result of poor extraction of gold from slimes a new approach-mechanical agitation of dump material was explored. Several tests have been done. In the agitation test work the following parameters have been investigated: impeller speed; cyanide concentration; CaO concentration; liquid-solid ratio; lead nitrate dosage and grind. Experimental work has proved that the mechanical agitation may be used with success to extract gold from dump material. The extraction of gold varies between 68% and 81% and depends on the preliminary treating of dump material. (Af. J. of Science and Technology: 2003 4(1): 56-61)
