摘要：The rise and rise of the cluster if not indeed galaxy of concepts around information, computation and computability, such as analog/digital, (software) program/hardware, information-processing, module/ modularity, (Monte Carlo) simulation, binary coding, bits (binary digits), algorithm, networks, virtual, clone, code, interface, machine language, computer memory, cybernetic notions like feedback, feedback loops, feedback control, and the like (with a number of roots like cyber, tele-, net- , e- , i-, a-, as prefixes for an ever-increasing number of new words, in technical and general use, either with physical referents or purely figurative) is a central feature of the world story of the last sixty years or so.
