摘要:This research aims to obtain a learning media, namely handouts, as a guide to construct science experiments in Elementary School for students of PGSD. The handout is meant to increase students' ability to construct science experiments in Elementary Schools. This study uses research and development approach. The model of development is adopted from Dick & Carey, Merril and Rowntree's model. The procedures are: planning stage, developing stage, validating the design, revising design, and the last is trying out the product to the respondents, which consists of first, second, and third try out. The data are collected by means of instruments: questionnaire and evaluation sheets. This study produced a handout to construct science experiments for teacher candidates in Elementary Schools. The handout consists of a guide to construct science experiments and the examples of experiment designs in Elementary School for each grade, in order to improve students' ability on thinking skill. It is found that the handout had improved the students' ability to construct science experiments in Elementary School. Based on the ideal maximum mastery learning, which is 100%, it can be inferred that students' ability had improved from 63% {low category) into 87% {fair category).
