摘要:Taking as a point of departure the two poetry books, Los espías del realista y Vanas penas de amor , that Vicente Molina Foix published in 1990 and 1998, respectively, this essay analyzes the role of the ironic glance the poetic speaker casts on the literary, artistic and cultural models firmly rooted in the analytical-referential system of tradition. A careful reading of specific poems from both collections reveals Molina Foix’s use of parodic and inter-textual strategies to debunk the monumentality of such discourses, not so much to ridicule or do away with them, but to show their incongruence in the modern context and at the level of the individual person.
