摘要：Neste trabalho, procuro refletir sobre dois dos eixos dialógicos (dois campos intelectuais) a partir dos quais o processo etnográfico experenciado entre os Uitoto-murui do rio Caraparaná (2000-2001) foi possível em termos de ênfases etnográficas e recursos analíticos operacionalizados. Centro-me especialmente na relação com don Ángel Ortiz, cacique e tradicionalista do aldeamento de San Rafael e na instituição do mambeadero (ou cocadero), lugar de produção e transmissão de conhecimentos “tradicionais”, capital negociado entre anciãos e aprendizes, e entre anciãos e antropólogos. ABSTRACT This article deals with my ethnographic process among the Uitoto-murui from rio Caraparaná. I present two major dialogic relations (actually, two “academic” fields) that make my ethnographic emphasis and my reflexive instruments possible. I center myself in my relation with don Ángel Ortiz, cacique (chef) and tradicionalista (something like a philosopher, "owner of the ancient knowledge") from the village of San Rafael; and in the institution of the mambeadero (cocadero), place of local and traditional symbolic production, place of knowledge in witch grandfathers and learners sit, as well as grandfathers and anthropologists.
