摘要：O interesse por este estudo levou-nos ao seguinte objetivo: refletir acerca da comunicação nas orientações vivenciadas na unidade de hemodiálise de uma Instituição Universitária Pública Estadual. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo de relato de experiência. Entendemos que o enfermeiro ao prestar cuidados ao cliente deve identificar as suas reais necessidade e dialogar efetivamente acerca das orientações e cuidados em hemodiálise, evidenciando que a comunicação é uma ferramenta de suma importância que influencia e contribui para o alcance de resultados significativos.ABSTRACT -The painet with chronic renal failure, requiring one of three modadlidades (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplant) should be informed about the possibilities of these, in order to actively participate in the choice of procedure. However, not always such a measure is adopted. It is necessary to be an effective communication on the implications of each replacement therapy modality and its variations according to each case. Therefore, the interest in this study led us to the following goal: to reflect on communication in experienced guidance in the hemodialysis unit of a Public Institution State University, located in the State of Rio de Janeiro. This is a descriptive study reporting, experience reld during nursing residence. We demonstrated that communication was fragmented in many instances, but it is a key piece used by nurses in directing patients to dialysis treatment. Ratified successful results and adherence proposal when the nurse makes a communication productive. We understand, that when nurses provide care to the client must identify their real needs and actively engage about the guidance and care hemodialysis, realizing that communication is a tool that influences and contributes to the achievement of significant results.Key words: Communication, Guidelines, Hemodialysis.
