摘要：This paper has a double purpose. On the one hand, to carry an onomasiological study on the concept “blasfemar, renegar”, using the Atles lingüístic del domini català (ALDC) (Q. 598) to establish its meanings and analysing its origin and evolution. On the other hand, given that one of these concepts («renegar») has derived towards “renyar, reganyar”, this article will try to establish a lexicogenetical typology of some mainly dialectal words related to that concept and, focusing on one of the most productive types (“rondinar, murmurar”), make a new etymological suggestion for the word ‘runar’, ‘renyar’.
