摘要：O artigo descreve e analisa a disponibilidade e as condições do transporte escolar público para os alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais (NEE). É escassa a produção na área da educação especial que considere as famílias que vivem no campo e têm filhos com deficiência, embora a legislação já afirme esse direito. Os conflitos sobre a distribuição das terras em nosso país têm longa e cruel história, sendo lugar de grande desigualdade social e abandono de políticas públicas. Nesse contexto, temos estudado a educação do campo. Neste trabalho analisamos a legislação na área da educação e do transporte, indicadores sociais oficiais e dados empíricos construídos durante visitas a áreas rurais, no estado de São Paulo. Durante as visitas foram realizadas entrevistas com moradores que vivem no campo, quando o tema transporte escolar sempre emergia, dada a importância que o transporte escolar tem para o acesso à escola dos alunos que vivem em áreas rurais, com ou sem necessidades educacionais especiais. Os resultados indicam que houve no país um aumento no uso do transporte escolar por alunos com NEE na educação básica; as condições precárias dos transportes escolares interferem no acesso, frequência, permanência e evasão dos alunos que vivem no campo e utilizam o transporte escolar. Espera-se que esse estudo possa subsidiar o debate sobre o direito ao transporte escolar para todos os alunos e fomentar a produção do conhecimento sobre as concretas condições de vida dos alunos, filhos de trabalhadores da cidade e do campo.
其他摘要：This article describes and analyzes the availability and conditions of public school transportation for students with special educational needs (SEE). There is little production of texts in the area of special education, which takes into account families that live in the countryside and that have children with disabilities. Conflicts over land distribution in our country show a long and sad history, as a place of great social inequality and neglect of public policies. This is the context in which we have studied countryside education. In this work we analyze legislation on education and transportation, official social indicators and empirical data that was gathered during visits to rural areas in the state of São Paulo. During the visits, interviews with rural residents were conducted, and the theme school transportation would always appear – given the importance of school transportation for students who live in the countryside, or who have special educational needs. The results indicated that there was an increased use of school transportation by students with SEE in primary education; the poor conditions of school transportation interfere with the access, attendance, retention and dropout of students who live in the countryside and use school transportation. We hope this study will support the debate on the right to school transportation for all students, and that it will promote production of studies on real life conditions of students, children of rural and city workers.
