摘要：O artigo traz reflexões sobre o processo de produção da infância na modernidade, evidenciado por uma série de estratégias e instrumentos que foram utilizados para capturar a infância e dela se apoderar. Dentre eles são destacados o processo de constituição dos sujeitos, saberes e racionalidades empreendido pelas instituições educativas e também o papel do discurso higiênico e psicológico no conhecimento e administração da infância. Numa perspectiva crítica, considera que o que sabemos sobre a infância, seu modo de ser, agir e se comportar foi forjado nas tramas do saber e consolidado pelo exercício do poder, processo esse que precisa ser reconhecido e investigado em sua constituição e potencialização.
其他摘要：The process of children’s production in modern times, revealed by a series of strategies and tools used to dominate childhood and take hold of its resources, is provided. The process of the formation of the subject, knowledge and rationalities managed by education institutions and the role of the eugenic and psychological discourse in the knowledge and the management of childhood are highlighted. It may be taken for certain that, within a critical perspective, what we know on childhood, or rather, its way of living, acting and behaving, has been fabricated in the throes of knowledge and consolidated by power. Such a process should be acknowledged and investigated within the context of its constitution and potentialization.
