摘要：AbstractLetGbe a 4-connected graph, and letẼ(G)denote the set of those edges ofGwhich are not contained in a triangle, and letEc(G)denote the set of 4-contractible edges ofG. We show that if3≤|Ẽ(G)|≤4or|Ẽ(G)|≥7, then|Ec(G)|≥(|Ẽ(G)|+8)∕4unlessGhas one of the three specified configurations.
