摘要：The study focused on the impact of Six Sigma Methodological Practices in manufacturing unit. The purpose of this study is to focus on reducing the defect turnaround time (DTAT) and thus provide customer satisfaction to the company. The objective of the study is to find the factors for improving the defect turnaround time and to propose changes to the current defect management process. The research methodology adopted is experimental using Six Sigma methodology - DMAIC approach in order to bring process improvement for the defect fixing project. As far as data is concerned the primary data was collected from the corporate database. The data was collected for a period of 3 months. Analysis techniques are used to obtain findings and interpret the raw data collected. The tools that are used for analysis are SIPOC, CTA tree, Pareto analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Box Plot and Scatter Diagram. The suggestions given to the project will help in improved customer satisfaction as well as renewed trust and reputation towards the company. The process improvement will also have a very positive effect on the allocation of future project contracts by the client to the manufacturing unit.
