  • 摘要:Colantonio E, Juzwiak CR, Scorcine C, Pinheiro MM. Regionaland Total Body Bone Mineral Density in Male Swimmers and SoccerPlayers in Different Age Groups. JEPonline 2018;21(3):25-33. Thepurpose of this study was to compare regional and total body bonemineral density (BMD) measurements between soccer players (SP)and swimmers (SW), accordingly to pre-pubertal and pubertal/postpubertalmaturational stages. Sixty male subjects (33 SP and 27SW) were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. They were matchedto maturational stage and sport. Total and regional BMDmeasurements (hip, forearm, and spine) were performed using dualX-ray absorptiometry. Pre-pubertal and pubertal/post-pubertalathletes were matched for weight, BMI, and whole bodily fat, regardless of the sports. There were significant differences regardingtotal body and site-specific BMD measurements, including spine, radius 33% and hip, according to maturational status. As to the prepubertalstages, SW had significantly higher BMD measurementsthan SP in all sites, but SP had higher BMD values after puberty. The data showed significant total and regional BMD measurementchanges, according to pubertal status in SW and SP, regardless ofBMI and % total body fat that suggest some influence directly relatedto training during the bone mass accretion after puberty. Thus, it isreasonable to anticipate that swimming appears to not have anegative role on BMD measurements before puberty.
