摘要：AbstractIn this paper we consider two configurations of continuous crystallization processes with significant nonlinear behaviour and a tendency to self-sustained nonlinear oscillations. The control task is to stabilize the crystallization process in the presence of model uncertainties and external disturbances. This is a challenging task as the model consists of a population balance equation describing the disperse phase, i.e. a nonlinear partial differential equation, being coupled to a mass balance equation describing the liquid phase. In this contribution robust control methods are applied to solve this problem.
