  • 摘要:AbstractAn agent-based model is developed to simulate the vascular growth in engineered biomaterials. This study investigates the influence of growth factor release rate on rapid and stable vascularization. Different growth factor release profiles are generated and tested using the agent-based model. The simulation results are verified with experimental studies. Effective release policies are identified; microsphere properties for promoting angiogenesis are suggested.
