摘要:AbstractPhysics and mathematics are tightly related, but pupils cannot transfer knowledge between these branches. The aim of this study is to determine physics and mathematics teachers’ views on relating both subject areas. The study was carried out with three physics and three mathematics teachers and semi-structured interviews were conducted. Teachers stressed that although all topics in physics requires mathematical knowledge, students need mathematics more in the “one dimensional kinematics”. Teachers believe that integration and/or relating is necessary, but they don’t have clear ideas how to do it even though they suggested a few integration or relation techniques.
