摘要:AbstractInteractive Multimedia and Expert Systems have been employed and incorporated into training practices in organisations at increasing rates. While they are independently developed, they possess capabilities appropriate for collaboration. The potential for such integration is examined in this paper, by providing support to users beyond the capabilities of each independently used technology. This paper presents a collaborative system for quality audit at a large car manufacturer in Europe. It examines the potential of both systems individually and the promise for integration between the two. An evaluation experiment comprising of 45 participants was conducted in which different architectures for hybridizing the two systems were tested for effectiveness. This study reports that a collaborative application of these systems has promise in supporting learning, by combining the qualities of active learning with those of rule-based justification and reflection found individually in each system.
