摘要：AbstractThe study was conducted to find out the agreement between two approaches (i.e. logistic Regression model, and M-H) in detecting a gender-related differential item functioning of a mathematical ability scale items. The scale was developed and administered to samples of 800 males and females students (380 males and 420 females) in Jordan. The study pointed out: (1) the percentage of agreement between the two approaches in detecting DIF was 80%. (2) Males outperformed females in spatial and deductive abilities, whereas females outperformed males in numerical ability.
