摘要:This combined psychophysical and auditory evoked potential (AEP) study evaluated on-line morpho-syntactic processing in French-speaking healthy and aphasie participants. Previous behavioral studies indicate that healthy individuals are sensitive to sentences9 grammaticality during the detection of target words, with reaction times being slower when target words are presented within an ungrammatical vs. grammatically correct context. This suggests the existence of a specialized processing module allowing for the tracking of changes at the morpho-syntactic level of speech analysis. Some patients do not show this reaction time diÆrence. Of particular interest is the possibility that aphasie patients would exhibit dissociation between word-monitoring performance and event-related potentials to the target word.
