摘要:Global aphasia without hemiparesis (GAWH) is a rare stroke syndrome, owing to the unusual dissociation between language and motor fiinctions. In general, GAWH is proposed to remain/recover to persistent GAWH, Wernicke^ aphasia, or transcortical motor aphasia (Hanlon et al., 1999). Further, only two cases of GAWH have been reported subsequent to subcortical lesions (Bang et al.9 2004). In this context, we present a subject who exhibited GAWH following subcortical lesion and a recovery pattern distinct from the previous studies.
