摘要:Gandour and colleagues (1997) reported preserved tonal contrasts in diferent sentence positions for Thai speakers with fluent and non-fluent aphasia Similar to typical healthy peers, they produced significantly lower fimdamentai frequency (FO) fcr the Thai tones embedded in the sentence-final position. Hence, it was suggested that Thai sentence intonation might be manifested as final lowering. Similar investigations for Chinese speakers with aphasia are lacking, but a recent study on typical speakers showed gradual FO declination over time for Cantonese sentences (Ma, Cioœa, & Whitehill, 2006).
