摘要:A strong grasp of mathematics is a key factor in ensuring success in engineering education. This paper reports on a study that attempts to investigate the contribution of teamwork and interactive multimedia courseware (CDiCL) towards learning of pre-algebra among engineering students. The quasi-experimental design method with pre and post test were used which involved four intact groups of students namely, the Control group, Collaborative Learning (CL) only group, Courseware (CD) only group and CDiCL group. Interviews and participant observations were also used for gathering qualitative data. Results of the quantitative data analysis showed that two groups that used the CD outperformed the two other groups who did not. The qualitative data analysis results revealed that teamwork among the CD users were more effective when team size is small (3 to 4).
