摘要:AbstractThis study aimed to investigate the relationship of students’ self-efficacy and meta-cognition with their mental health. In adescriptive-correlation study, 150M.D. students in Ferdowsi university of Mashhad, Iran during academic year of 2010-2011were selected randomly and completed Meta-cognitions Questionnaire Wells & Cartwright(2004), General Self-Efficacy Scale Sherer & Maddux(1982)and General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg and Hiller(1972). The results showed statisticallysignificant correlation between self-efficacy and mental health (r= -0.29, p< 0.001) and meta-cognition and mental health (r= - 0.73, p< 0.001). Totally, 59% of variance of students’ mental health can be predicted by their self-efficacy and meta-cognition.
