摘要：AbstractThis paper attempts one main thing: to reflect and systematise the main challenges that doctoral research and supervision are facing nowadays, and particularly in what concerns their quality. Firstly, we will approach the Bologna Process. We will review the main ministerial documents and will highlight the key aspects that contribute to this reflection, particularly from an educational and political perspective. Thereafter, some international studies will be revisited, so we may present and synthesise other points of view concerning this issue of supra-national character and importance.
