摘要:AbstractThis paper explores the cultural dynamics of a group of students enrolled in a double degree program between the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE), Germany. Based on a study conducted among these students in 2009 and 2010, the discussion highlights on issues of cultural adaptation and resilience. Comparisons were made between students who chose to complete their study at UDE (UKM-UDE) and students who remained at UKM (UKM-Bangi). Statistical results are presented to suggest that the double degree students’ pattern of behavior is transformed due to the new cultural and learning surroundings upon pursuing their studies at UDE.
