  • 摘要:Previous behavioral work has shown that the phonetic realization of words in spoken word production is influenced by sound shape properties of the lexicon. For example, the voice onset time (VOT) of initial stop consonants is longer in words that have a voiced minimal pair than in words that do not (Baese-Berk & Goldrick, 2009). fMRI research has shown that the neural system underlying this lexically conditioned phonetic variation includes the left posterior superior temporal gyrus (STG), the supramarginal gyrus (SMG), inferior frontal gyrus (IFG), and precentral gyrus (Peramunage, et al., 2010).
