摘要:AbstractThis paper aims to demonstrate that the Malthusian fear of overpopulation is not based on sound economic arguments. In order to prove this hypothesis, we treat the resource-population relationship from a dynamic perspective. The pessimistic vision about the economic future of mankind is based on a methodological error, that is, to analyze the relationship population - resources from a static perspective, which takes into account the known volume of reserves and ignores in a large extent the impact of knowledge generated by science and entrepreneurship. Therefore, the Malthusian approach is unrealistic and contradicts economic realities of the last two centuries.
