摘要:AbstractThis paper gives a contribution to solve a problem that engineering education institutions are facing nowadays: how to provide practical examples to a large number of students being, simultaneously, limited by finite resources? The solution can rely on software to virtually simulate laboratory equipment. The objective is to prove the feasibility of using virtual instrumentation to simulate didactic exercises previously solved using a process control unit. Collected data were useful to simulate the behaviour of several hardware components. Results obtained show a good matching between problems solved virtually and by means of the process control unit.
