摘要:AbstractThe aim of this research is to determine the level of sufficient effective school properties for primary schools which are located in Şanlıurfa province according to the views of the teachers. In this research, the scanning model has been used. The universe of the study consists of the teachers in the official primary schools which are located in the center of Şanlıurfa province in the academic year 2011-2012 and 510 teachers in these official primary schools form the sample of this study. In the research, data have been collected through “Effective School Scale” which has been improved by Şişman (2006). The scale consists of 56 items and six dimensions; “school director”, “teacher”, “student”, “school program and education process”, “school culture and its environment” and “the school environment and parent”. Data has been analysed by the program SPSS. In data analysis, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, Tukey HSD multiple comparison tests were used. Data has been tested considering the significance level p<0.05. At the result of the research in primary schools of Şanlıurfa province, the most effective dimension is “school director dimension” from the point of effective school dimensions. “School culture and its environment”, “teachers”, “school program and education process”, “school environment” and “parents” dimensions have followed each other respectively with the highest mean,. The least effective dimension is “student” dimension.
