  • 摘要:AbstractThe aim of this study is to determine the predictive variables that the student's status about the exam-oriented pressure towards the transition to secondary education system (in Turkey). The study was carried out with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students (n=665); studying in primary schools in the 2009-2010 academic year. The data was collected through the exam-oriented pressure scale and the student survey developed by the researchers. As a result of the research, it was put forward that the status of the exam-oriented pressure is higher in the students who attend to the private courses for the exam preparation, who spend more time studying for the exams, who do not do research for their lessons, and go to the cinemas less than the others,. Moreover, the exam-oriented pressure scores of students,- who solve questions from test books and spend more time for sport, are found lower than that of students who solve a lot of questions from test books and do not do sports. Another finding obtained from the research is that as the grade level increases, so do the exam-oriented pressures test scores. As a result, evidence show that the students who study test based and who do not allow time for the social activities, experience more pressure.
