  • 摘要:AbstractIn Turkish pre-service teachers’ curriculum, there is a computer course II for freshman students of Education Faculties. The aim of this course is to gain basic educational technology literacy. The contents of the course are concepts and components of computer aided education (CAE), its fundamentals, advantages and limitations, application methods and widely acceptable CAE formats. Besides, selections and evaluations of software, applications of distance education, and applications of database; negative effects of computers and internet and its prevention methods are discussed. Since the students are freshman and they don’t have enough background about pedagogical literacy and concepts, they have some difficulties about application of this course. This paper analyzes and discusses the opinion of these freshman students about their computer courses in order to gain basic pedagogical and technological literacy. Throughout the paper, different characteristics of students such as students’ graduation from different types of high schools, weighted of Student Placement Examination, ownership of computer, taking other pedagogical courses are compared with their opinions.
