摘要:AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate issues and trends in remedial education in Malaysia. Participants were remedial teachers from schools in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Data was gathered through interviews and questionnaires administered to these teachers to get their views and perceptions on different aspects of their teaching experiences on Special Remedial Programme. Findings indicated that few respondents have full qualifications in remedial education. Among other issues identified were teacher's workload, lack of fund, non conducive learning environment and lack of support from schools administrators which contributed to the problems. Suggested solutions to these issues include training for these Special Remedial Programme teachers, reducing their workload and providing financial assistance for infrastructure and teaching aids
