摘要:AbstractIn the global world, there are similarities and differences among adolescents and youth. In this regard, this paper tries to shed light on an aspect of friendship and health among this vulnerable group, and is an attempt to explore Iranian adolescents’ perspectives on friendship and health from the point of communication skills. For this reason, a qualitative content analysis was conducted and 41 Iranian adolescents were purposefully selected and interviewed. All interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed. The results showed three main themes including: positive and negative impacts of peers, opposite sex friendship, and adolescents and communication skills.Finally, it is concluded that adolescents need to learn communication skills as it will enable them to employ positive aspects of friendship and disregard its negative impacts. Understanding different aspects of adolescence is not only important but is useful for maintaining a healthy society. Therefore, in the global world, families, teachers, health workers and policy makers should consider adolescence communication skills to promote their healthy relationship.
