摘要：AbstractAcademic research is a compulsory short research project for the final year students of Pusat Pengajian Sains Matematik (PPSM). This research project intends to give the opportunity to the students in applying the knowledge from previous courses to produce a quality research through guided self learning. Among the issues often raised by supervisors is the quality of the research topic, rehashing and writing skills of the academic work which is unsatisfactory. Some students take longer time to complete the project than the specified period given. This study aims to review the current practice and propose the improvement for the process.
