摘要：Case series studies frequently evaluate a theory using quantitative measures of fit between simulations of thetheory and the observed data. In this work, simulations of speech production deficits reveal that a common measureof fit fails to distinguish competing theories. To be theoretically productive, case series research must focus on datathat distinguish alternative accounts.
