摘要:“ Until World War II aphasia and its concomitant neurological deficits in the stroke patient were viewed as anatural and necessary state in the aging process” (Samo, 1981, p. 488).Since then, important changes in aphasia therapy have taken place. The most important concern: (a) therelationship between speech therapists and aphasic individuals, (b) the programming and implementation of therapy, and (c) the methodology of efficacy studies. In the fifties:(a) the relationship between speech therapists and aphasic individuals followed the medical model: therapy was“ delivered” and the patient “ received” it.
