摘要:Studies report an effect of grammatical class i.e. better naming of objects than actions on confrontation naming inpatients who have progressive non-fluent aphasia (PNFA) across different languages. One theoretical question iswhether this effect results from a grammatical impairment or is a consequence of phonological and cognitivedeterioration that follows the pathology of PNFA. We investigated deterioration to the grammatical processing of apatient with PNFA who is a native Hungarian speaker. We expected action naming to be more impaired and the effectto get larger with any deterioration to grammatical processing.
