摘要:Most studies that have examined lexical-semantic access in bilingual aphasia thus far have been case studies orsmall sample analyses of picture naming or descriptions (e.g., Munoz & Marquardt, 2003). There were three goals ofthe present study. The first goal was to examine the nature of lexical-semantic access in individuals with bilingualaphasia and their normal controls by using three different measures of lexical semantic access (picture naming,naming errors and category generation). The second goal of the study was to examine the influence of languageproficiency on lexical semantic access. Finally, we examined the interaction between post-stroke impairment andlanguage proficiency on lexical retrieval in individuals with bilingual aphasia.
