摘要：Non-verbal behaviors are used together with spoken language in human communication. Regarding thecommunicative function of gestures, one perspective in the literature is that gestures are integrated in the early stagesof communication and are an integral component at the conceptual level of expression (McNeill, 1992).Alternatively, co-verbal gestures are employed after a concept is activated to aid and supplement verbalcommunications, maintain and establish attention of conversations, and add emphasis to speech (Knapp & Hall,2010).
