摘要:Individuals with brain lesion may express difficulties in record stories details, in abstracting the main idea —MACRO-STRUCTURE (HOUGH, 1990), and in the details or text-based information (MICRO-STRUCTURE) of thetexts (ELLIS et al, 2005); they may as well show difficulties in elaborating inferences - SITUATIONAL MODEL(MAR, 2011). There are still mismatching conceptions regarding hemispheric specialization for processing thesethree specific items. Studies in this respect deal with one or two of them, and they do not simultaneously distinguishthese three levels of comprehension. Moreover, as far as we know, there are no studies that analyze these differencestogether with the investigation of possible influences of memory and executive functions in these processes. Theaim of this study was to investigate the reading ability of two individuals with a lesion in different cerebralhemispheres by looking at their performance in comprehending narrative texts at the micro-,macro-structural level, and situational model, relating their performance with memory and executive functions’ abilities.
