摘要:AbstractThe purpose of this study is to analyze, from a macro perspective, the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sectors in contributing to structural changes in the national economies of Indonesia and Japan. We focus on the periods from 1990 to 2005 for Indonesia and from 1995 to 2005 for Japan. For this purpose, we conduct decomposition analysis using input output tables. The results for the time periods examined show that ICT sectors played an important role in the changes in Japan s economy, but did not have a significant influence on structural changes in the economy of Indonesia.
