摘要:AbstractMuch of the criticism has been directed to higher education in Slovakia over the decades. It is argued that the current education focuses more on acquiring encyclopaedic knowledge rather than promoting the creativity to develop ability to identify problems. As a result, students are less able to analyse specific situation, to present and evaluate alternative solutions, stand up for their own opinions and use their knowledge in practical applications. The aim of this paper is to point out the possibility to apply an appropriate combination of different teaching methods in order to make corrections in both students learning styles and teachers methods. These applied tools will help us enhance the quality of education and attract the attention to more effective learning at the universities as the imperative of successful preparation of students for both their professional and personal life.
